Disorder TV Session – Alberta Cross with Isolation & Western Front

Although based in New York City with a heavily Southern sound, don’t be tricked; he’s actually Swedish. Singer, guitarist, and founding member Petter Ericson Stakee of Alberta Cross recently released their latest album to raucous acclaim. Despite the band’s history of playing great festivals like Glastonbury and Reading alongside supporting illustrious bands such as Oasis, Neil Young, and Mumford and Sons, question marks were raised when co-founding member Terry Wolfers left in 2013. The new line-up along with their new album Western State, however, blows all doubts away. Folksy and impeccably talented, we managed to trick Petter Ericson Stakee into the Disorder office with false promises of guitar strings and anagrammed names to play two of his latest tracks for us. Check out this live session of Isolation & Western Front.

Disorder TV Session – Sample Answer with Textile Baby & Good Boy

Blending elements of hip-hop, rap and blues with his distinctive acoustic guitar sound and powerful vocals, Sample Answer’s music is attracting fans in the dozens.

Starting out as a glam rocker wearing glitter, purple pants, and frills like Prince, he performed as a looper, mixing drums, bass, synths on his Casio keyboard whilst playing acoustic guitar.

Disorder TV held a live session with the incredible up-and-coming singer.

Nick Brewer: Interview with Disorder TV

Star of summer hit ‘Talk to Me’ a track that takes us through that summer feeling groove, Nick Brewer’s rise has been one steadied on hard work and his core beliefs. Growing up in Essex, Nick has been able to use his music to share his life experiences and help portray his thoughts. A grime artist, white at that, something that shocks most people scrolling through his YouTube comments, yet he tell us that he’s been able to draw on inspiration from both sides of the Pond listing Eminem and Dizzee Rascal as some of the people that helped influence his music. We were able to grab him on the day of his gig in Hoxton, and have a chat with him.

Disorder TV Session – Shel with ‘Like Minded Fool’

Sisters Eva, Hannah, Sarah and Liza Holbrook are twenty-something women, born in a five-year span and raised in a bohemian, art-loving family in Fort Collins, CO. Each found an instrument to master early on, studying classical music while composing and arranging unique works for their anomalous instrumentation, violin, mandolin, piano and drums. They gained performing experience working with their songwriter father, and soon had festival promoters and media figures championing their fresh, intricately drawn sound.

SHEL took time out from their recent tour of the UK to come and record a session with Disorder TV at St Pancras Old Church.
